The Fortune Pearl increased your chances of winning items by 12% (Luck) and increased Coins won by 12% (Money) for 10 days when activated, but you could still use other Luck and Money Talismans during the 10 days that the Fortune Pearl was activated. The only exception to this rule used to be the Fortune Pearl, the special Talisman you won by opening the game for 25 days in a row. But you cannot use a Lucky Coin at the same time as a Piggy Bank (+25% Coins for 90 minutes) or a Magic Ingot (+100% Coins for 2 hours) or a Midas Touch Artifact (+50% Coins for 24 hours) as they have the same function. For example you can use an Owl Figurine (+15% Experience points for 30 minutes) and a Luck Coin (+20% coins for 30 minutes) at the same time since they have different functions. However, only one Talisman of each type can be used at a time, and a Talisman cannot be used at the same time as an Artifact with the same function. You can use one of each type of Talisman (or Artifact) at the same time, so you can potentially have 8 Talismans and Artifacts running at the same time.
You can activate Talismans from the Inventory by tapping on the Talisman and choosing 'Use' Press the green "Use" button to activate the Talisman or the red "Cancel" button to go back to the list of Talismans (you can also use the brown 'x' in the top right of the Information box to exit without activating the Talisman). This will bring up an Information box describing the Talisman what it does and where it can be found in the game. Scroll through your available Talismans and press on the one you want to use. In the list of Tabs at the top of the Inventory Window, Talismans are represented by the Owl Figurine. The Talisman Tab is the first tab in the Inventory, and is usually open by default. To use a Talisman press the Inventory icon at the bottom of your Darkwood Town Map. If you are stuck, Talismans can also be bought for Rubies in the Store. Talismans can be won as rewards for combining certain Collections and as rewards for completing Achievements.
